Love meditation

Sending love and compassion to ourselves

and others has the power to heal and

transform our suffering. We can send our

healing energy of love and compassion first

to ourselves, then to those we love, then to

someone we have difficulties with, and finally

to all beings everywhere who are suffering.

We can say "May I," then

"May you," "May

they," and finally

"May all beings." You might

like to recite this every evening before bed, or

during your daily meditation practice. Like this

we can connect with the whole world, with all

beings everywhere.

May I be peaceful, happy, and light in

body and mind.

May I be safe and free from injury.

May I be free from anger, fear, and anxiety.

May I learn to look at myself with the eyes

of understanding and love.

May I be able to recognize and touch the seeds

of joy and happiness in myself.

May I learn to identify and see the sources of

anger, craving, and delusion in myself. May I know how to nourish the seeds of joy

in myself every day.

May I be able to live fresh, solid, and free.

May I be free from attachment and aversion,

but not be indifferent. 123
