Maybe

Maybe one day, you'll see how the ending that broke your heart was simply the door to a brand new start. It is a universal law that when one thing ends, another begins. And some endings will first hurt before you can see the beauty of new beginnings. Maybe at the end of it all, what makes life meaningful and what our hearts yearn for the deepest is to have someone there for us at the end of the day, maybe sitting, perhaps reading a book or watching the sunset or painting or knitting on the front porch, welcoming you with a smile and a heart so great, greeting you with a love that promises you'll never be alone, receiving you with a love that certainly will never ever let you go, and embracing you with a love so tireless, always and endlessly waiting for you to come home. Maybe the souls whom we love deeply but aren't meant for us in this lifetime, the ones who got away, the ones we let slip away, or the ones whom we have lost for whatever earthly reason are with us somewhere, in another time and space, in another Universe, or in another lifetime. Maybe they all happened because they had to. Maybe there were no other paths to your growth, only the ones that transpired.

Because if things could've gone any other way, they would've but they didn't. Acceptance will bring you peace. Moving forward will give you happiness. Maybe we should stop dwelling on the questions of why and what could've been done differently. If it was meant to go the other way, it would've. Maybe what happened, happened because it was the path to your growth. There are things within and without our grasp. Steer the wheel where you can and confront whatever outcome that has arisen. Change the things that you can and let go of the things that you can't. Keep moving forward. Keep walking towards what for you is meant and leave behind the things that aren't.
